When you request to delete your account, Decent follows a structured Right to Be Forgotten process:

1. Your deletion request is sent to the data controller as a notification.
2. Your account is immediately anonymized:
   • All personally identifiable information (your name, email, phone, and profile details) is permanently removed.
   • This action cannot be undone.
3. After anonymization, you can no longer access your account, and you would need to register again if you want to use Decent in the future.

What happens to the blockchain data?

Decent uses the VeChain blockchain to store only a cryptographic hash (digital fingerprint) of your inspection reports/activities — never the actual data.

• The blockchain contains no personal or sensitive information.
• It records only a non-reversible hash of the inspection ID + form data, used solely for verification purposes.
• Because blockchains are immutable, this hash cannot be deleted, but it also cannot identify you once your account is anonymized.

In simple terms:

• Your personal off-chain data is completely removed/anonymized from Decent.
• The blockchain record remains, but it does not contain or reveal any personal information about you.
• The blockchain entry continues to function as a proof of integrity for past inspections, without linking back to your identity.
